I have has also worked across the mobile, legal, and publishing sectors with corporate and personal branding a specialty. I am also an Ambassador to The Henry Surtees Foundation.

I was recently delighted to be recommended by rugby legend Austin Healey, though Oz refused emphatically to also endorse my skills on the rugby pitch.

Nigel Bunker

Vice Chairman

I see working through the Parish Council as one of the ways that we can get together to keep the area being a good place to live, and even to improve it if possible. I used to work in the NHS, and through that increasingly came to value things like community spirit, discussion about what kinds of development we do and don’t want, and looking after the natural and social environment. I often think how fortunate I am to live here, and I’m sure the kind of active Parish Council we’ve generally had has contributed to that.

Co-opted to the Parish Council in November 2016. Elected Vice Chair in August 2017. Represents the Parish Council with Boughton Aluph & Eastwell Cricket Club and the Iron Room.

Julie Tingey

Parish Councillor

After growing up on the South Kent Coast I moved to London to pursue a career in IT and Office Management. I spent many years living and working in London before having the opportunity of working in Cyprus for the Ministry of Defence. I lived overseas for a number of years working in both Cyprus and Germany which I loved. Shortly after returning to the UK and starting a family I decided to relocate from London to Kennington to be closer to my parents. My son is nearly seven years old now and attends Goat Lees Primary School which he enjoys and where possible, I try and get involved with school activities. I am currently employed part time as an Administrator for the NHS in Eureka Business Park. So as a mum, resident and someone who is also employed within Goat Lees I have a keen interest in local issues.

Co-opted to the Parish Council in November 2015.

Jason Matthews

Jason Matthews

Parish Councillor

Having been a Councillor for just over a decade, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on the Parish Council which has provided me with the opportunity to give something back to the community. When I am not at my desk or on site running my busy building company which is registered both with the Federation Of Master Builders and the National House Building Council, my other interests include countryside pursuits such as hiking, camping, and canoeing. Since my early school days I have regularly played cricket and football. I am a FA Qualified Level 1 Football Coach. This has allowed me to give something back into the game and the community by not only coaching my 4 young sons but also coaching others as well.

Chairman of the Parish Council 2012 to 2016.

Parish Councillor

Though retired now, my working life was divided between education and work in Mental Health in the NHS. These experiences have left me feeling that where we live can have considerable impact on our opportunities in life, and on our health and wellbeing. So I think that the chance, in our community, to put together a Neighbourhood Plan is too good to miss. There are a lot of pressures encouraging development in the South East, but we can influence the way our parish might look in 2030. Some of the things I’d like to see are safe space for all, good design, protected green space, more high quality work opportunities in Eureka Park…etc!

Co-opted to the Parish Council in July 2015. Chair of the Parish Council from October 2016 to August 2017. Member of the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Committee. Member of Finance Committee.

Parish Councillor

My career, to date, has been in the public and not for profit sectors. I was a director of the Millennium Commission, one of the Lottery good causes. A Chief Executive of a charity. I set up a Trust to fund community sports and arts projects across the UK as part of the legacy from the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. More recently, I led the development of a secure website for the Civil Service to encourage collaborative working within and between departments. I am a relative newcomer to the area, moving to Boughton Lees at the end of 2013. Having found our forever home in a beautiful locale I want to make a contribution to the future of the community that has welcomed me, my husband Tom and our dog Finley.

Co-opted to the Parish Council in July 2015. Chair of the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Committee. Member of Finance Committee.
